Objective: The general aim of this course is to help students gain the necessary English language skills in order to communicate in level A2* (Basic User) as stated in Common European Framework of Reference as the continuation of Basic English I and Basic English II. It provides students with the general English language skills required to effectively engage in routine forms of social interaction. It also includes thorough and comprehensive study on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing. Moreover, it aims to motivate learners by basing the content around up-to-date topics of international interest.
Content: This course includes activities aiming at improving vocabulary, structure and communicative skills in order to help students to communicate at pre-intermediate level. These activities include more themes such as abilities, dates, health problems, free time activities, biographies, and phone conversations. Various cultural elements are also included in order to make students be aware of different cultures.
